The Ocular Device was found with the Masonic Square and compass in a brick at Independence Hall by Ben Gates. The glasses were built by Benjamin Franklin to read the map from the back of the Declaration of Independence. It leads the group to New York.

History[]

Ben first found them in a brick at Independence Hall, he then used them to look at the map of the Declaration of Independence to look at the next clue. When Ben was arrested by Agent Peter Sadusky and the FBI, an FBI Agent took them out of Ben's coat and threw them on the hood of the car. Ben asks him to be careful with them. As Sadusky interrogated Ben he played with the glasses, giving Ben a clue about the multiple color lenses. Sadusky then asks Ben what the glasses were for, Ben told him they are used to read the map. After Ben escaped from the FBI, Ben used them again to show Ian Howe where the next clue to the map was. Sadusky later got hold of the glasses and put them and other artifacts that Ben and Riley found in his secret clue room in his house.

Oren Bradley later saw the glasses in the secret room and were dub the "Ben Franklin Glasses". During Sadusky's wake, Riley saw the glasses again, but accidentally triggered an alarm when he touches them.
